Lantern Clock
A William & Mary period brass lantern clock by this well regarded maker. The lantern clock, or more correctly chamber clock was the earliest form of domestic clock and was popular throughout the seventeenth century. This example by Barnaby Dammant of Colchester retains the original verge escapement and displays the time via the original blued steel hand to the silvered chapter ring over a well engraved centre.
Mahogany Bracket Clock
A small and extremely fine George III period mahogany bracket clock. The movement of eight day duration retains the original verge escapement and has a finely engraved backplate. The time is displayed via the original blued steel hands to the silvered dial. A strike/silent lever is concealed behind the front door. The case of well figured mahogany has a bell top and retains the original brassware
Vienna Regulator
Rosewood three train 'Vienna Regulator', with carved cresting, satinwood stringing, ebonised quarter columns and well-formed base. The movement is of eight day duration with quarter repeat striking. The time is displayed via the original blued steel hands to the one piece enamel dial framed by a fine engine turned gilded bezel.
