Bracket Clock
Regency mahogany eight day bracket clock. The elegantly waisted and scrolled mahogany “balloon” case is 25” tall, well figured, and of good colour, retaining the original brass feet and pineapple finial. The twin fusee movement is of eight day duration with rack striking and pull repeat. The hours are sounded on a bell. The time is displayed via the original brass hands to the enamel dial which is signed “Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London”. Concealed behind the delightfully cast bezel is a strike/silent lever.
Bracket Clock
A rare walnut quarter repeating bracket clock of eight day duration. The walnut veneered bell top case stands 18½" high excluding the brass handle. The style and proportions are typical of the period. The movement has a finely engraved backplate and is of eight day duration with verge escapement and rack striking, sounding the hours on a bell and pull quarter repeat on six bells. The time is displayed via the blued steel hands to the engraved brass dial with raised, silvered chapter ring. A subsidiary dial to the arch is to adjust the rise and fall of the pendulum and a date aperture completes the centre. There is a strike/not strike button to one side and a recessed signature boss below the dial.
Longcase Clock
A most unusual and pleasing regency period mahogany longcase clock of eight day duration. The elegant waisted case stands just 89" high excluding finial. The bold hood columns with similar treatment to the base are unusual features. The well chosen mahogany veneers are inlaid with ebony in the regency taste and the style and proportions are most unusual, borrowing heavily from the designs of Hepplewhite. The movement is of eight day duration with rack striking, sounding the hours on a bell. The time is displayed via the blued steel hands to the painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture. The age and aspect of the moon is displayed in the arch.
